Synopsis

The latest film from award-winning maestro Kiyoshi Kurosawa (CURE, TOKYO SONATA, JOURNEY TO THE SHORE), CREEPY harkens back to his thriller genre roots.

After a fatal incident on the police force, criminal psychologist Takakura (Hidetoshi Nishijima, TONY TAKITANI, THE WIND RISES) has retired to a quiet life as a university professor. But when both he and his wife begin to have very strange encounters with their next door neighbor, Takakura’s suspicions are peaked. At the same time, an old colleague from the force approaches Takakura to help investigate a series of missing persons cases. As they begin to uncover clues, he becomes increasingly fearful that there may be a connection between his creepy neighbor and their case…

Based on a novel inspired by several real life incidents in Japan, and starring Teruyuki Kagawa (20TH CENTURY BOYS, RUROUNI KENSHIN) who perfectly embodies the very suspicious neighbor, CREEPY is a cult classic in the making that will really give you a case of the creeps!
