Set in the 1950s in Maharashtra, Keshav is an affable astrologer who is inherently attached to his bicycle, his pride and joy, and everyone in the village knows it. But his life is turned upside down when two wandering thieves, Mangya and Gaiya, steal his bike. Little do they know that taken something more famous than any person in the whole district, as they make up grand, elaborate stories of dowries and distant cousin lineage to explain the reason why they have the bike, which is always with Keshay.
A reverse-BICYCLE THIEVES, this film will definitely charm you with its color cast of characters, precocious kids and overall warm feeling that makes CYCLE a film perfect for the whole family. It’s feel good without being saccharine, with wonderful characters straight that are reminiscent of pleasant family scenes from a Satyajit Ray film.
