Inspired by a true story of the Maori Battalion in World War II. The four maori men grew up in a time when community was everything and life was simple. The proud bloodline they all share draws them closer together as soldiers and brothers. The maori way of life was guided by tradition and ancestors. The journey they take as they prepare for the front line draws in the teachings of the ancestors and warrior spirit of their forebears.

The men are inspired to face the enemy by the warrior within and a desire to return home to their people and their loved ones.
