Synopsis

When Erik's father told him as a boy, "Son, Layne men work with their hands", the last thing he meant was for him to become a hand model. But, 20 years later, Erik Thomas Layne is one of the industry's top professional male hand models. In his own mind, that is. Hand Job goes behind the scenes with Erik as he wields his skillful manicured phalanges on the set of a big-budget licorice commercial. Erik’s fortitude and competence are tested as he's challenged by the demanding director's grueling yet ridiculous requests. And in the process, we not only get an exhaustive and exhausting look into the grueling, cut-throat and competitive industry, we get a first-hand, intimate look at just how far a man will go in order to success in this profession. Or, is it art?
