KALO CULTURE is about a group of people following traditions and a way of life, focusing on Daniel Anthony of Mana Ai and his family during the three days leading up to the Haleiwa Taro Festival. Also featuring many local artists, activists, musicians and poets who share their talents and love of culture with the community. This culture and way of life is in danger of becoming extinct due to western influence, development, and fear of competition in the poi industry. Upon completion of this film the Haleiwa Farmers Market was closed by City & State Officials.
