Director Giddens Ko will be in attendance at the FIRST screening for a special post-screening Q&A.
Shu-Wei is not a popular kid, and is constantly harassed at school. One day he gets into trouble in class, and is assigned to community service with the 3 class bullies. His worst nightmare. But things are about to get weird. Forced by the bullies to break into an eldercare home to rob the residents, he comes upon something strange in the dark…..a very petite but very vicious bloodthirsty little monster! Instead of running, the crew capture the monster and take it to their secret lair in the back of the school. The bullies set about torturing and experimenting on the creature in the worst way. Unbeknownst to them however, the monster has a big sister, who is devastated about the loss of her sibling…
Edge-of-your-seat fun, scary, brutal, and even a bit hilarious MON MON MON MONSTERS may be Giddens Ko’s best film yet. A biting social satire, this film begs the question, who are the real monsters anyway? One of our programmers top genre picks of the Festival!
