1980’s South Korea. The political pendulum has swung to the right and protests and government suppression are becoming increasing regular. Against this backdrop detective Seong-jin (Son Hyun-Joo, HIDE AND SEEK, THE HUNT)  finds himself unwittingly chasing a serial killer. But whilst the military police begin mounting evidence against a suspect Seong-jin has in custody, he becomes increasingly convinced they may have the wrong man….

However, Seong-jin is about to discover that questioning the authorities is a very dangerous proposition, for both him and his loved ones. As his closest friend, reporter Jae-Jin (Kim Sang-Ho, WONDERFUL NIGHTMARE, PROOF OF INNOCENCE), begins to uncover the truth, all of their lives may be in danger. A poignant, nail-biting crime drama, director Kim Bong-Han’s ORDINARY PERSON is a powerful critique of a difficult period in South Korea’s near past.
