Synopsis

Running Eagle is a young American Indian woman's struggle to overcome past choices and her determination to return home to her family in Blackfeet country, Montana. She escapes captivity as a sex worker in the oil fields of North Dakota, hitchhiking across a merciless winter on the Hi-Line of the Great Plains. She remembers her uncle's words and his gift to her -- a feather of protection. As the cold takes hold, she has a vision -- a recent trip with her brother on a buffalo hunt.
