This New Zealand comedy revisits Michael, Albert, Sefa and Stanley, four friends challenged to find girlfriends in time for a wedding in SIONE’S WEDDING aka SAMOAN WEDDING (HIFF 2006).  Five years have passed since Sione’s wedding and these fast friends once again have their share of personal problems.  Albert (co-writer Oscar Kightley) can’t conceive with his wife, Michael (Robbie Magasiva) is trying to avoid the Australian mafia, Sefa (Shimpal Lelisi) is having trouble getting his baby-momma to marry him, and Stanley (Iaheto Ah Hi) is a misguided deacon in training.  However, in the wake of tragedy, the gang pulls together for a wacky manhunt in Auckland to find the missing Paul, and all their problems swiftly come to a head, with hilarious consequences.

Co-written by James Griffen and directed by Simon Bennett, this comedic sequel is an endearing gem and a lighthearted romp through Polynesian New Zealand.
